The Weight Management Center at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC is currently offering a post-doctoral fellowship in psychology and telemedicine for the 2019-2020 year (starting August 2019). This fellow will be an active member of a large multidisciplinary team comprised of MDs, PAs, NPs, nurses, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, and doctoral and master’s level behavioral health providers (including some trainees).
The opportunities/responsibilities of this position will be: •Support and advance telemedicine initiatives at the Weight Management Center; you will work closely with Dr. Brown in this capacity. (~50% work effort) •Provide behavioral clinical services at the Weight Management Center; services will include individual and group therapy (including telemedicine versions of each), and psychosocial evaluations for bariatric surgery candidates. (~40% work effort) •Research (~5% work effort) •Supervision of behavioral trainees (~5% work effort)
Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or closely-related field, completion of an APA accredited internship, and eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Psychological Associate in North Carolina. Experience in obesity medicine/weight management required; experience in telemedicine strongly preferred.
