Postdoctoral position in the Pediatric Mood, Imaging, & NeuroDevelopment Program, Division of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School Belmont, MA
The Pediatric Mood, Imaging, & NeuroDevelopment Program is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with a primary focus on child/adolescent psychopathology to join our multi-disciplinary PediMIND team at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School (www.PEDIMIND.org).
The goal of the PediMIND Program is to identify the brain and behavioral mechanisms underlying psychiatric illnesses in children and adolescents, which can be translated into better, more accurate and effective diagnostic and treatment strategies. We have a focus on bipolar disorder, irritability, non-suicidal self-injury, and suicide in children and adolescents.
The fellow will be mentored by Dr. Daniel Dickstein in developmental psychopathology and the use of computerized tasks and neuroimaging in children and adolescents. The fellow will be involved with the assessment of child and adolescent research participants, including administration of the child schedule for affective disorders (KSADS) interview. The fellow will have access to the McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School academic environment and resources. The successful candidate will be proposed for academic appointment as a Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
We are seeking a recent clinical psychology PhD graduate with experience working with children and/or adolescents, including assessment for psychopathology and providing evidence-based treatments. A successful candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated to gain additional skills in the assessment of developmental psychopathology and also learning about the use of computerized/behavioral tasks and neuroimaging to advance our understanding of child psychiatric disorders.
