Foothills CBT / Dr. Samantha Monk Grigsby is pleased to announce an opportunity for a qualified licensed/license-eligible psychologist or post-doctoral associate interested in joining a well-established, evidence-based, private practice in the Boulder, Colorado area. The position is open immediately, though the post-doctoral associate or licensed psychologist could start as late as fall 2021. The successful applicant will have training and experience in evidence-based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and/or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The associate will predominantly work with adults presenting with anxiety and/or mood disorders. However, the ideal candidate will also be interested in working with late teens/young adults. If a licensed candidate has interest in working with additional ages (early teen/child) and/or presenting problems that is encouraged.
This is a part-to-full time contract opportunity. The hours and caseload are flexible and will be determined during the interview process based on the needs of the candidate and the practice. The range of compensation will vary greatly based on this determination. Substantial support will be provided with marketing and building a caseload. The contract compensation will be a percentage of net service fees collected after expenses (office space, billing services, and supervision) have been met. Weekly supervision (postdoctoral associate) and/or case consultation (licensed associate) will be provided.
All supervision and case consultation will provided by Samantha Monk Grigsby, PhD. Dr. Grigsby is licensed in both Colorado and New York. Clinical supervision and case consultation is based on various CBT, ACT, DBT protocols for the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. With an emphasis on mentoring, the position will afford experience in all aspects of operating a private practice, including marketing, scheduling, billing, record-keeping, and networking.

Dr. Samantha Monk Grigsby is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Grigsby's areas of expertise include using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and/or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders.
Dr. Grigsby is an affiliate of Boulder Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, a network of accomplished mental health professionals offering evidence-based psychotherapy in Boulder, CO. She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, where she provides clinical supervision for students in the clinical psychology PhD program. Previously, she served as the Director of Clinical and Scientific Engagement at the Raimy Clinic at the University of Colorado Boulder. In this position she oversaw the externship placements of clinical psychology graduate students and supervised the clinical training of the clinical psychology PhD students through practicum training in evidence-based therapies. Formerly, Dr. Grigsby served as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver in the Graduate School of Pr...ofessional Psychology, teaching cognitive behavioral therapy to graduate students. Prior to this, she was a supervisor for extensive and postdoctoral fellows as a staff psychologist at CBT/DBT Associates, a private psychology practice specializing in evidence-based therapies in New York City. During this time, she was also a Clinical Instructor at Bellevue Hospital Center, New York University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, where she provided cognitive behavioral therapy supervision to advanced psychiatry residents.
